Mariusz Borowiak, pisarz, marynista; autor 70 książek i broszur oraz kilkuset artykułów o tematyce wojennomorskiej w kraju i za granicą, współautor haseł do słowników i encyklopedii. Na podstawie książki „Westerplatte. W obronie prawdy” powstał scenariusz do filmu fabularnego; konsultant scenariusza filmu „Dywizjon 303. Historia prawdziwa”. Jego artykuły prasowe i książki były pretekstem do przygotowania licznych reportaży radiowych i telewizyjnych. Znany z obalania „prawd historycznych” o Polskiej Marynarce Wojennej w latach 1918-1947 i niemieckiej U-Bootwaffe w latach II wojny światowej. Redaktor-współpracownik miesięcznika „Morze”. Członek Stowarzyszenia Wyprawy Wrakowe. Uczestnik dwóch międzynarodowych ekspedycji na wrak niszczyciela eskortowego ORP Kujawiak w latach 2015-2016 u wybrzeży La Valletty na Malcie i The Lost Bombers of Brindisi 2018 (ekspedycja w poszukiwaniu wraków polskich i amerykańskich samolotów bombowych).

Mariusz Borowiak, writer, maritime historian; author of 70 books and brochures and several hundred articles about wartime at sea in Poland and abroad, co-author of phrases for dictionaries and encyclopedias. Based on his book “Westerplatte. W obronie prawdy,” a script was made for a feature film; consultant to the screenwriter of the movie “Dywizjon 303. Historia Prawdziwa.” His press articles and books were a pretext for the preparation of numerous radio and television coverage. Known for the refutation of „historical truths” about the Polish Navy in the years 1918-1947 and the German U-Bootwaffe during World War II. Editor-in-chief/collaborator of the „Morze” magazine. Member of the Shipwreck Expeditions Association. Participant of two international expeditions in the years 2015-2016 to the wreck of the Polish escort destroyer ORP Kujawiak, as well as the expedition “The Lost Bombers of Brindisi 2018” – in search for wrecks of Polish and American bomber aircrafts.
