OTTER WATERSPORTS DRYSUITS started out in a small room on the first floor of an old mill, and after 2 years it took over the whole building.
After 5 years on the market, the company moved to an even larger facility, which soon became insufficient as well. In 2001, the company purchased a historic chapel built in 1816 and devoted three years to renovation and adaptation. Currently, the company is in possession of almost 1800 square meters of production and shop space. A large portion of the production is intended for export to the USA, South Africa, and New Zealand. The company also supplies the British army with its products. The company’s main objective is quality, which is why every drysuit has a serial number – this makes it easier to control the quality during production. Each neoprene drysuit is manufactured from the beginning to the end by only one person, who signs for its quality assurance. Each drysuit is also tested under pressure for a minimum of 12 hours as there is no such term as “almost drysuit” in the company’s dictionary. Since 1997, the company has received all European safety certificates and has passed all of the military’s rigorous standards. The company’s motto is: “Otter Quality is our pride and our pride is Otter Quality.” The company strives for excellence. If their product is considered defective within 12 months of the date of purchase, it is repaired or replaced with a new one. Otter also provides a unique guarantee that any made-to-measure suit will be replaced or repaired free of charge even if the measuring mistake is entirely your own fault.
